Two illustrated art jellyfish. The one on the left is swimming upside down, while the other is upright with the "bell" on top. Colors are pale pink, red-orange, crimson, and gray-blue.

When I think of jellyfish, I’m automatically transported to a public aquarium where they’re swimming in a tank inside a dark room, with mysterious lighting and futuristic music playing. They’re one of the most fascinating creatures on earth, aren’t they? These jellies, here, are working their way into the next art collection.

Since our recent visit to The North Carolina Arboretum and how much it filled my creative cup, I’ve decided to be more intentional about making visits to botanical gardens, museums, galleries, etc. As in, schedule them on my calendar, because they’re that good for the mind & soul. A visit to the Georgia Aquarium, a treasure in our own back yard, might be in order, too.
