The Tropical Days collection, which began in pencil at the end of June, is finally here! It’s the largest body of artwork I’ve released since before publishing The Miracle Farm. And I’m thrilled to share it with you.
The collection includes a 2025 wall calendar, 2 new notebooks, and 12 new vinyl stickers that make excellent companions for your water bottle. All of the artwork included reflects my love of nature and wildlife, and growing up on the Florida Gulf Coast. Before I began working on it, too, I asked my email subscribers to weigh in on the theme: they were unanimous on a tropical one!
There are fuchsia and hibiscus flowers, hummingbirds and swans. There’s also jellyfish, sea turtles, and other underwater creatures. A little something to please everyone who dreams of warm, relaxing days by the water.
The Process
Drawing art in a collection is a fun process, from choosing the color palette and motifs, to which medium and tools to use. Thankfully, I fell into a rhythm fairly quickly with this collection.
What I wasn’t expecting, though, was how much time it would take to get the art print-ready and to source products to print on. Read: I was rusty!
Laying out art for printing requires working within specific boundaries and measurements.
This ensures several things:
- The art is printed at the correct size.
- The art isn’t accidentally cropped when the paper is trimmed.
- Unintentional white space doesn’t occur on the final print.
Product Quality
Because the quality of the notebooks I already had on-hand is so good, I used the same manufacturer. The printing is excellent and so is the binding. The covers are silky-soft, too.
For the tropical stickers, I went with a new manufacturer and tried a matte vs. glossy finish. The stickers are beautiful and made to last. I’m happy with the quality and think you will be, too!

But I’ll warn you first: it might transport you to the ocean shoreline, listening to strums on the ukulele.
