Shedding

Each year, this time of year, our maple tree shows up and shows out. And each year, I can’t believe how tall and wide it’s grown, and how small it was when Chad and his dad planted it more than 20 years ago.

It’s also when I reflect on how things are going in my life and I answer the question:

“Like trees dropping their leaves to prepare for new growth come spring, are there things I need to shed, so there’s room to grow? So I can become who I’m meant to be?”

The answer’s always a firm “yes”. 🍂
