Christmas in April

It’s official – I’ve begun creating art for the 2024 Christmas season! It’s wild to say at the beginning of spring, but I’d like to get ahead for retailers who shop for Christmas products during the summer.

I’m dedicating the month of April to this work, with no preconceived ideas on how much I’ll be able to accomplish. However many designs that are complete at the end, will be the right number.

In a recent post, I shared my first experience using new digital watercolor brushes. At the time, I hadn’t decided if I’d use them in my next Christmas collection. But after making this tree, I’m going to go with it. Watercolor is such a beautiful, classic medium for Christmas. And besides, I can always switch it up again for the next-next collection.

If you’re not ready for Christmas greeting cards just yet, you can find spring and summer ones here.
